Law on Alternative Dispute Resolution in Consumer Matters - Consumer Dispute Settlement Act (VSBG)

The European Union has launched its new online dispute resolution platform (OS platform or ODR platform). Under http://ec.europa.eu/consumers/odr/ consumers can now file complaints against traders, but also traders complaints against consumers. The platform collects data on the Respondent, facts and personal information of the applicant and forwards them to a selected consumer arbitration board. The arbitration boards then have the opportunity to oversee and complete the process online via the platform.

A user guide provides first assistance in dealing with the complaint form. The OS platform is designed to be responsive, so it can also be displayed on smaller devices such as tablets or smartphones. It operates in all 23 official languages of the EU.
